T-mobile has revealed it is planning to launch a new service for customers who want to keep their data and services separate.
T-Mo CEO Dan Hesse told the Financial Times that the new T-Phone service will allow customers to keep data and apps on one device and have them available for both phone and tablet.
The service will launch in India by the end of the year, according to the FT.
The new service will offer customers two different types of services: a data plan that allows users to access a large number of apps and content from one device, and a content plan that provides a separate set of apps.
Tmo will also offer the ability to use both data and content on the same device, which will also include unlimited voice, data, and messaging.
The new service comes at a time when T-Mobiles’ network is rapidly expanding in India and other parts of the world.
T-Mobile’s data plans will include two types of content: one that lets customers use the phone’s cellular data to use apps and other content, and another that lets them use data to charge other devices.
“Our customers want to stay on the road with us and get the best of both worlds,” Hesse said.
“We’re building our network so we can keep their services separate while also enabling customers to continue using our devices.”
The new TPhone service is being offered to T-mobiles that purchase a new smartphone from T-Mobiles for $50,000 or more.
It will be available in select markets in India from March.
